WDSO’s 35th Anniversary Reunion

WDSO-FM 88.3, the Chesterton High School radio station, will be celebrating its 35th year on-the-air this fall. There will be a reunion coming up this November at Chesterton High School. Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore has Region's Cleanest Beaches

The National Resources Defense Council's (NRDC) recently released Testing the Waters 2011 Report shows that Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore beaches are rarely affected by pollution and are among the cleanest beaches in Indiana. Two Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore beach sites have had only one day of health advisory in 2010. Mt. Educator Workshops at the Indiana Dunes

The National Park Service in partnership with the Dunes Learning Center is offering a series of educator workshops, "Nurturing Young Scientists," July 18 - 22, at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The workshops are designed to introduce both formal and non-formal educators to resource issues, current research, and citizen science projects they can use with their students both in and out of the classroom. Duneland 2011-12 School Year Registration

The first day of classes for all Duneland students is Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011. Elementary and Intermediate School students will register in their respective buildings on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 8 & 9 from 1-3 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m. Chesterton Middle School students will register by grade level.
