Spring Out to Sunset Offers Family Fun

Demonstrators and Vendors Wanted for Duneland Heritage Fest

The National Park Service is seeking individuals and groups to participate in Duneland Heritage Days at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore on Saturday and Sunday, September 17 & 18, 2011. This free event, formerly known as Duneland Harvest Festival, takes place at the historic Bailly Homestead and Chellberg Farm areas of the national lakeshore and draws about 6,000 visitors. Valparaiso University Donates to The Boys and Girls Clubs of Porter County

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County was the recipient of a $5,000 grant from Valparaiso University’s (VU) English 396 Class, entitled "Traditions of Giving and Serving in American Life”. CHS Varsity Cheerleading will host a call out meeting for males and females on Monday, May 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the Chesterton High School Cafeteria. Educator Brings Passion for Nature to Porter County Parks

Carolyn Jones fell in love with nature as a child, when she discovered that a groundhog had made a home in her backyard.  She was curious about meeting the creature, so she cut up some carrots and sprinkled them into the groundhog hole and made a trail of them into the grass. Remember new DNR firewood policy this weekend at the Indiana Dunes

Enjoy campfires at the Indiana Dunes and other properties of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) this Memorial Day weekend and throughout the year in a way that will protect forests from the spread of invasive insects. Volunteers Needed for Invasive Species Program at Indiana Dunes State Park

Indiana Dunes State Park will be conducting an early detection program for invasive plant species this summer. Volunteers are needed to help.
