Chamber Accepting Duneland Distinguished Woman Nominations

Nominations are being accepted for the Duneland Distinguished Woman Award formerly known as the Athena Award. The Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce will present the award at their State of the Chamber Luncheon, Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Sand Creek Country Club.

Nominees must demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or community, provide valuable service by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community and assist women in reaching their full leadership potential.

Nominations are open to the public and nominees do not have to be members of the Chamber; however they must reside in the Chamber service area (Towns of Beverly Shores, Burns Harbor, Chesterton, Dune Acres, Porter and Westchester, Liberty and Jackson Townships).  Applications are available at the Chamber office located at 220 Broadway, Chesterton or call the Chamber at 219-926-5513 for more information.
