Seasonal Flu Clinics are offered at three Chesterton Locations. The seasonal flu shot does not protect against H1N1. It is best to call before going to the clinic to ensure that an immunizing pharmacist is on duty and that they still have the shot available.
H1N1 flu vaccines are currently being administered to school children in school day clinics and through the Porter County Health Department clinic for those who meet certain criteria.
School day clinics for Liberty and Jackson Elementary Schools have already taken place and clinics are scheduled for Bailly, Brummitt and Yost Elementary Schools for the week of October 26 as supplies last. Clinics for the remaining Duneland Schools are pending.
