The Utility Service Board consists of five members, three appointed by the Town Council President and two appointed by the Town Council. Terms vary between one and three years. Not more than two-thirds of the Utility Service Board members may be of the same political party.
The Board has supervisory powers over the Public Owned Treatment Work. It makes purchases, adopts rules and awards contracts for the Public Owned Treatment Work, as well as submits proposed budgets to the Town Council. The Utility Board appoints a knowledgeable Utility Superintendent who is responsible for the business and technical operations of the POTW.
The Utility Service Board meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.
