Hi, Chuck!
Amazed to hear you take questions about ducks Have two as pets Love them Need feed for adult ducks.
Been feeding all organic grain, corn, peas, spring greens, tomatoes and some pellet food for parrots recommended by our vet.
Cannot find any nonmedicated feed in my area and am not good enough on internet search, it seems, to find any in less than 50 pound bags. (It will go rancid.) Our female laid a soft shell egg today. They need better nutrition than we have been supplying, obviously. Can you help?

Answer:
We carry a non-medicated feed for ducks made by Purina. The soft egg shells can be quickly remedied by adding oyster shells to their diet. These are sold separate of the food and can be used as a source of calcium to harden the shell. Do not depend on the feeds to have enough in them to do this. Also, make sure to give them granite grit for digestion. The oyster shells should not be a substitute for their grit as it is not hard enough to use for digestion. Good luck, Chuck
