Question: I need to know how much time ornamental grasses plugs can survive a trip?...I mean bare root.
I got a list of maybe 15 ornamental grasses I want to obtain.... plugs or seeds?....They are going to Miami and then to Dominican Republic.

Answer: If wrapped in a moist excelsior or similar material it would last a few days. This is the way many plants are shipped to us as starts. More of a concern is the blades of the grass being out of the light for too long in this moist environment it can cause rotting. Also keeping them as cool as possible is very helpful.
