American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard Headlines Worship Event

Valparaiso University’s Gospel Choir, Black Student Organization and Another Level Campus Ministry will present “Invitation 2 Worship Part II: They were all in one place in one accord,” on Saturday, May 8.

Special guest for this free multicultural worship event is recording artist Ruben Studdard, winner of American Idol’s second season in 2003.

Studdard received a Grammy Award nomination in 2003 for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for "Superstar." He has released four studio albums and appeared on various television shows.

Other guest artists for the event include Hillside Hero and the Valparaiso Nazarene Church Worship Band, with host William Hall.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 7 p.m. in the Harre Union Ballroom. Seating is limited. For more information, call (219) 485-6641.
