TweetFriday, March 26th at the Valparaiso University Center for the Arts Duesenberg Recital Hall, Kimberly Bredehoeft, a junior performance major, will present this piano recital in partial fulfillment of requirements for her degree. Bredehoeft will play “Impromptu in A-flat major, op. 90, no. 4, ” by Franz Schubert; “Piano Sonata no. 5 in C minor, op. 10 no. 1,” by Ludwig van Beethoven; and “Prelude and Fugue in B major, op. 87, no. 11,” by Dmitri Shostakovich.
Saturday, March 27 at the Valparaiso University Chapel of the Resurrection, Evan Akers, a senior in music performance will present this organ recital in partial fulfillment of requirements for his degree. He will perform from the “Livre d ‘Orgue” by Pierre Du Mage; “Sonata IV in e minor, BWV 528,” by Johann Sebastian Bach; from “Fiori Musicali” by Girolamo Frescobaldi; from “Musica ricercata” by Ricercar; from “Symphonie Gothique, Op. 70,” by Charles-Marie Widor; and “Suite, Op. 5” by Maurice Duruflé.
Sunday, March 28 at the Valparaiso University Center for the Arts Duesenberg Recital Hall Alexander M. Keim, percussion, with Kimberly Bredehoeft, oboe; Keim is a junior music education major, and Bredehoeft is a junior piano performance major. They will perform from the “Album for the Young, op 68,” by Robert Schuman; “Gebrauchsmusik for Dance” by Jerome Margolis; “Tangling Shadows” by Nathan Daughtrey; and “Water and Fire” by Donald Skoog.
