TweetWordfest, an annual series of readings by distinguished authors and poets, panel discussions and student writing contests, is sponsored by Valpo’s Department of English and Cultural Arts Committee.
The series continues with poet Cornelius Eady, an American poet focusing largely on matters of race and society, particularly the trials of the African-American race in the United States. His poetry often centers on jazz and blues, family life, violence and societal problems stemming from questions of race and class. Joseph Tabbi will be featured next in the series on March 31. For more information about Wordfest, call 219-464-5278 or visit the Department of English Web site at http://www.valpo.edu/english/.
