The Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Nature’s Cupboard to Chamber membership and the Chesterton community. Nature's Cupboard, which has been serving Michigan City since 1980, has opened a new location at 757 Indian Boundary Road, Suite 4, in Chesterton.

"Until now, Chesterton residents had to go to Valparaiso or Michigan City to get the kinds of things we are selling, Nature's Cupboard co-owner Mylese Tucker said. "But with the new store, they are able to get it right in Chesterton." Tucker runs Nature's Cupboard with her mother, LaVora, who founded the business nearly 30 years ago at 1806 US HWY 20 in Evergreen Business Center. It offers everything from natural health and beauty products and vitamin and herbal supplements to therapeutic-grade essential oils and nutritional counseling.

The Chesterton location is smaller and focuses mainly on nutritional supplements, as well as locally raised meat and raw dairy products. The store also offers an Organic Produce Co-op allowing customers to purchase organically grown produce at wholesale prices. Tucker is excited to be located near Molly Bea’s Ingredients and Third Coast Spice Café in Indiana Boundary Plaza, since both businesses stress the same healthy lifestyle Nature’s Cupboard encourages.

Nature’s Cupboard has scheduled their official Ribbon Cutting for 10am on Monday, February 22 to kick off their Grand Opening week. The week will be filled with vitamin vendors from Garden of Life, Nordic Naturals, Gaia Herbs, Enzymatic Therapy, Flora, and Nature's Plus and New Chapter. There will also be various food vendors offering samples of organic foods, organic produce and local meats along with drawings, prizes and give-aways.
