TweetToy Story 2 is the Family Film for Saturday, April 10. Family Films takes place at Hageman Library, 100 Francis Street, Porter, on the second Saturday of each month from September – May. Westchester Public Library films are free of charge and open to the public.
Adventure continues in this sequel to Toy Story. Andy is away at summer camp when tragedy strikes his toys. Wheezy the penguin is thrown in a box for a yard sale and Woody the Sheriff rescues him. Alas, Woody is left behind in the box and a greedy toy salesman snatches him up.
Woody befriends Stinky Pete and Jessie the Cowgirl while he is held captive. Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog and the others band together to rescue Woody before he is sold to become a museum piece. Time is running out for them if they are going to save Woody before Andy returns from summer camp.
Toy Story 2 is rated G and has a running time of 92 minutes.
The final Hageman Family Film for the season will take place on Saturday, May 8. The library’s Summer Concert and Family Film series at Thomas Centennial Park will begin June 11 at 7 p.m. with the Valparaiso University/Community Band, followed by the movie Free Willy: Escape from Pirates’ Cove.
