I thought black vultures were more common to the south and didn’t come as far north as Lake Michigan. Have they been spotted in the Indiana Dunes much in the past? I took a few pictures of a pair of back vultures at Mt. Baldy back in August 2003 eating a fish carcass on the beach. These are a little blurry and a few years old. It was the only time I had ever seen them in the Indiana Dunes.
