Spotted a pair of Black Crowned Night Herons on the property of Inland Steel (currently Mittal Steel Indiana Harbor Works - East). First spotted the bird flying with a group of gulls, but noticed slightly different coloration and distinctly different shape of wings. Later spotted a pair (M&F) on the ground next to the roadway where I got a good close look. 6-2-2005
