I saw at least two Wilson's warblers from the observation platform on trail
#10, between 2:00 and 3:00 PM today. I only saw one bird at a time, but
from different amounts of black on the tops of their heads, I'm sure there
were at least two different birds, and I believe it was probably three. They
were directly in front of the platform in fairly thick, low brush, and
occasionally hopped higher to be easily seen.
I don't know if it is unusual to spot Wilson's warblers in the Dunes, but my
field guides seem to show that they do not nest in this area, and I thought
it was a little late in the season to catch them migrating.
