Wild Violets and Weed Free Zone

Posted on July 18, 2004

Question:
About 2 weeks ago I sprayed our wild violets with Weed Free Zone at 4TBS/gal. There was no rain for several days. The violets seemed to wlit a little in a day or so, but are now growing as vigorously as ever. Have you any suggestions? Can you tell me how to contact the Fertilome people to ask about this? Thank you. Will

Answer:
It really helps to use a HiYield Sticker with any of the weed killers. This ensures that the liquid stays on the leaf instead of beading up and rolling off. Violet leaves are so glossy this can be a problem. You mix a small amount per gallon right with you Weed Free Zone.
