Question:
We have white mushrooms growing in our yard. We did not have these last year. They are not growing in a circle, but sporadically over the yard. What can we use to get rid of these? I tried a granule from Lowe's but it does not seem to have worked. Please help!! I don't want to have to keep pulling these up everyday. Thank you.

Answer:
Hi-Yield consan 20 will kill mushrooms but new ones can grow back readily. You will have just as much control hitting them with a lawn mower as you will treating them with a chemical. Sometimes you can change the envireonment so it is not conducive for mushroom growth. Check the pH. Acidity favors mushroom growth. Also wet or damp areas with little air circulation are more likely to favor mushroom growth. Good Luck, Chuck
