Question:
Any suggestions for low toxicity weed killers for lawns that will not harm - or at least minimize - harm to birds and squirrels? I bought a liquid last week, having resolved to do something about seven years worth of wild growth in my front lawn, and was greeted the next morning by birds and squirrels romping in the grass I was planning to poison. My conscience talking?
Answer:
Many of the herbicides absorb 80%-90% into the plant within the first eight hours. If sprayed late in the day then the next morning would be safer for these critters. To be 100% safe, we do carry an organic weed killer that is non-selective but can be used on the lawn if you can spot apply. See us for more tips on making these products safer. Chuck.
