Is it too early to lay down crabgrass preventer in Chesterton?

Posted on December 29, 2001

Question:
Is it too early to lay down crabgrass preventer in Chesterton? Also, do I water this in, or does it need a couple of dry days to work effectively?

Answer:
No, April lst is the target day for this application. Water in immediately. It works at the ground level. If it lays on top of the grass blades, it is not where it needs to be to be effective.
