I have a vine that is completely taking over

Posted on July 16, 2006

Question:
I have a vine that is completely taking over many areas of the yard. It has a reddish-green leaf in the fall, but quite dark green in the summer. It has large leaves when there's enough water and the leaves are pointed (3 points). The plant will grow a foot or better on these hot days. They seem to spring up all over the yard - especially in other shrubs and then they just "take them over". We live in central Wisconsin. What can I use to get rid of these awful vines?
Thank you!

Answer:
Need more info to identify this weed. How tall, dry, wet, woody or herbaceous, leaf margins toothed or smooth? Sounds aggressive and unusual.
