I’ve already put 10-10-10- fertilizer in my garden, should I also use bulb food fertilizer

Posted on December 29, 2001

Question:
I live in Zone 3. I've already put 10-10-10- fertilizer in my garden and
I'm going to plant glads and peacock orchids. Should I also use bulb food fertilizer and if so, how much? Th bulb food fertilizer is 9-9-6 (Scott's). Thanks for any help. Judy

Answer:
After a month the 10-10-10- is probably gone and so you can then start with your bulb food once a month. Better yet, the "Fertilome Blooming and Rooting Water soluble" will give more blooms and build better bulbs.
