Hydrangea tips for South-Central Indiana

Posted on May 6, 2004

Question:
I recently received a hydrangea plant from a friend for Easter. Will it survive outside in South-Central Indiana? Do you have any tips or suggestions? (It just says "Merritt's Supreme Hydranges" I am not sure what type that is.) Thank you~Angie

Answer:
My guess is that it is a hot house variety that is not hardy in your area. Most raised for this purpose are not hardy.
