Blue hydrangeas

Posted on May 10, 2004

Question:
My blue hydrangeas were outstanding until a 'landscaper' decided that the old wood should be pruned. This will be the second year that they have not produced flowers. I am positively heart
broken. I am looking for a fertilizer that I can apply around the roots to give them a boost to see if they will produce flowers this year (May 2004). I know that the aluminum sulfate will be good for the color, but I am concerned about their growth. Please help!!!!!

Answer:
Try using Monty's Joy Juice 8-16-8 every 2 weeks. This can be applied as a drench at the ground level or as a foliage feed right on the leaves. This is a great fertilizer and booster.
