Blackspot

Question:
I had blackspot last year and I did treat it with banner-mix. Should I apply the banner mix again before I mulch for the spring or should I mulch first. What else could I use. I keep the rose beds clean and this year I will water via soaker hoses.

Answer:
Soaker hoses are a great idea. Wet foliage equals fungus problems. Start your fungicide spray program when the new growth gets bout 2 inches long and don't stop. Spring is a crucial time for this but spraying all season long will keep then beautiful.
