Question:
We have a beautiful tree-line separating two of the yards on our property. Two out of the eight trees are heavy-laden with bagworms. How can I get rid of these pests before they get rid of my trees???
Answer:
Start by hand picking as many as possible off the trees and burning them. Them spray the trees with fertilome bagworm spray to control any that you may have missed or are still in a small stage. Start in spring spraying before they appear to get a head start before they sneak up on you. In our region that would be around end of may/early june. Check with your local agents to get a better idea in your region of when to spray. Good luck, Chuck
