The Westchester Township History Museum, an educational and cultural service of Westchester Public Library, is housed in the Brown Mansion at 700 W. Porter Avenue, Chesterton. Westchester Public Library serves the residents of Westchester Township. Museum staff offer tours of the house, free programs and events, and research on local topics. The museum store offers a variety of items all related to area history and the Indiana Dunes. Both permanent and temporary exhibits display elements of the history of Westchester Township. Free of charge.
