The Dorothy Buell Memorial Visitor Center is located near the intersection of Indiana 49 and Highway 20, on Munson Road. The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, Indiana Dunes State Park, and Porter County Convention, Recreation, and Visitor Commission share this visitor center. Here you can: view lobby displays about Porter County, Indiana Dunes State Park, and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore; view the Artist-in-Residence exhibit; watch the short orientation video "Child of the Northwest Wind"; shop in the Eastern National bookstore; and pick up brochures about Porter County, Indiana Dunes State Park, and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The 100 vehicle parking lot includes spaces for bus and RV parking.
